🤳🏻Brandcast.

Good morning.

Remember when AI was supposed to learn from us? The situation flipped somewhere along the way. Now we’ve learned to stop using em-dashes. Dropped contrastive negations. Avoid the word “delve.”

Okay, we never said “delve” anyway. But the point stands. Probably. We think. Honestly, at this point, who even remembers how we used to write? Urgh. Let’s just jump to the news…

GOOGLE

YouTube now proves it sells products, Google’s linking Ads with YouTube, and Analytics finally tracks your AI traffic

Salt and pepper, chocolate and peanut butter, advertisers and creators. All classic combinations.

And the last just got a bit sweeter: YouTube’s 2026 Brandcast turned creators into the product.

A few updates worth knowing:

  • The Affiliate Partnerships Boost lets you amplify organic content where your products are already tagged.
  • CTV viewers can now buy in two clicks straight from their TV screen.
  • YouTube now pulls in retail data from Costco and Dollar General, with SKU-level conversion reporting that connects your YouTube spend to what actually sells.

YouTube attribution has been a battle for years. SKU-level retail data changes that. You can now show whether YouTube has actually moved product, not just eyeballs.

And your Google accounts are getting a situationship: Starting June 10, Google will automatically link your Google Ads account to your YouTube channel.

The connection gives Google Ads access to three things: organic view data from your channel, audience segments from past viewer behaviour, and earned actions like subscriptions that can now count as conversions.

This means you can retarget people who watched your videos without ever clicking an ad, and track whether your paid activity is actually driving channel growth.

The spies are getting spied on: Google Analytics can now tell you how much traffic is coming from AI chatbots.

GA assigns a dedicated AI Assistant channel to traffic from recognised AI referrers. Previously, you had to manually assign each LLM referral, but this lumps them all together. Nice.

Just an FYI: If someone finds your link through a chatbot but arrives without a referrer header, GA4 still files that visit under Direct. There’s still some ironing to do.

SOCIAL MEDIA

TikTok drops new ad tools, Reddit makes a case for your budget

Just like a remastered movie, TikTok is making everything sharper, cleaner, and more attractive to more people.

But it’s still the movie you know: TikTok World 2026 just dropped a full suite of new ad tools.

A few highlights:

  • TopReach locks in the top two feed placements for a full day, so every user sees your ad exactly once. Perfect for a big launch.
  • Branded Buzz puts over 300 creators on the same brief simultaneously, coordinated reach at a scale that organic simply can’t match.
  • A Model Context Protocol server now gives AI tools a direct line into your TikTok campaigns.

This means sharper tools across reach, targeting, and creative. If your TikTok setup hasn’t been touched in a while, this is your nudge to go poke around.

Reddit’s new report has a stat CPG advertisers will want to screenshot: It delivers 1.5x higher ROAS than other social platforms, backed by third-party data.

The reason isn’t too mysterious. Reddit has seen 40% YoY growth in shopping conversations with people actively researching what to buy.

That intent is what makes all the ROAS difference. People aren’t just on Reddit to kill some time at work.

The spending data makes the case even clearer. Reddit users spend 22% more on pets, 17% more on food, and 12% more on beauty than users on other platforms.

Reach them while they’re in research mode, and you’re entering the consideration set early.

What we learned across two Prime Days

Prime Day 2025 already happened. But the budget decisions it should inform are still being made right now.

Across a same-store cohort of 390 brands, the numbers told two very different stories:

  • Amazon ROAS fell 12.5%
  • Affiliate ROAS climbed 5.3% over the same period

Two channels. One event. Moving in opposite directions.

The brands that pulled ahead weren’t the ones who spent more on paid. They were running affiliate programs that compounded across the full event window:

  • 8 weeks out: Sales held above baseline — the pre-event dip in 2024 didn’t happen
  • During the event: Sales grew 17% as Prime Day expanded to four days
  • The week after: Sales held 57% above baseline — the most overlooked sales window in the calendar

If you’re making channel mix or budget decisions before Prime Day 2026, you’re either using this report or you’re guessing.

Five phases of a webinar that converts

Webinars are one of B2B marketing’s most expensive ways to generate a list of people who aren’t ready to buy.

But that doesn’t mean webinars don’t work. As Heather Campbell points out, the same three complaints surface among most B2B marketers: Heavy lift, low ROI, and zero attribution.

So she presented a five-phase system for running 50+ webinars a year on a three-person team that gets you qualified leads. Here’s what you can try to replicate:

Phase 1: Choose a formulated title that specifically attracts your target audience. One interviewee changed a single word in their webinar title and doubled attendance.

A great title signals you understand their pain and respect their time. Don’t be vague.

Phase 2: Make webinar setup easy. Template everything: platform setup, landing page copy, nurture sequences. Set up once, refine when tests prove successful.

Your landing page should hook, build trust, and make registering feel like the obvious next step.

Phase 3: Create & distribute content that qualifies. Promotion is about filtering for intent.

The right channel mix and messaging mirror your ICP’s language and pull the leads sales actually want to talk to.

Phase 4: When going live, warm your audience by teaching, not pitching.

Every poll response, Q&A entry, and breakout room opt-in is behavioral data, often more reliable than a form-fill.

Phase 5: How to follow up after a webinar & convert attendees: Only around 5% of attendees are ready to buy. Reach out immediately.

For the other 95%, send value such as frameworks, takeaways, and resources. Push sales messaging too early, and you lose both groups.

So how do you measure what leadership cares about? Stop reporting on registrations and attendance.

Start reporting on MQL conversion rate, pipeline influence in dollars, and closed-won deals tied to webinar engagement.

When you put the right numbers in front of leadership, webinars stop being a line item and start being a revenue channel. See the full breakdown in the original post.

Stop guessing which links actually drive revenue

Clicks are vanity. Conversions pay the bills.

Rebrandly ties every link to real outcomes: sign-ups, purchases, revenue, across every channel.

UTM-proof tracking: UTMs get stripped 30–80% of the time. Rebrandly’s attribution survives sharing, forwarding, and ad blockers.

You define what counts: Set custom conversions and attribution windows per link, campaign, or workspace.

Path analysis reveals the full journey, not just the last click. Setup takes 15 minutes. No engineers required.

DATA STORIES

What you should do to retain your agency clients?

People will say love is all about communication.

But as it turns out, client retention is about it as well:

When it comes to keeping clients around, soft skills are doing the heavy lifting.

Strong relationships (81%) and effective communication (67%) are the undisputed champions of retention strategies.

Surprisingly, these “human” elements far outweigh hard performance metrics.

Strong campaign performance sits at 49%, while demonstrating Clear ROI is a priority for only 21% of agencies.

It seems clients might forgive a bad month of ROAS if they like you, but they won’t forgive you for ghosting them.

The plot twist: “Clear ROI” sits at the bottom. This suggests that while results get you in the door, it’s the trust and rapport that keep the lock on.

Clients buy into the partner more than a spreadsheet.

Your move: Audit your client communication cadence. Are you only reaching out when there’s a fire or a monthly report?

Schedule “relationship check-ins” that have nothing to do with immediate deliverables. Make partners feel like a priority.

Success is an inside job. Pro members get weekly data on what top content teams prioritize differently: skills over budget, alignment over volume, and tactical guides to replicate it.

$349/year covers your whole team.

ROUNDING UP THE STACK

AI MARKETING: With new AI product updates and releases dropping almost daily, it’s impossible to track everything… or know what you should dig into. The Deep View summarizes the absolute must-know AI news in a fun and informative 5-minute read. Join 500,000+ subscribers for free daily updates.*

META: The Edits app just got an upgrade. Transition pacing, opacity controls for text and stickers, live photo uploads for iOS, and over 200 new sound effects. Better templates and customizable effects are on the way, too. It’s harder to keep track than to make cool videos.

MICROSOFT: LinkedIn profile targeting, covering industry, job function, and company category, is now available for connected TV campaigns through Microsoft Ads. B2B marketers have long treated CTV as a billboard and now this helps them reach the right decision-makers.

GOOGLE: The top spot in Kantar BrandZ’s 2026 global brand ranking now belongs to Google again, valued at $1.48T after a 57% jump fuelled by AI across search, ads, and Gemini. Apple managed 6% growth. ChatGPT led the whole Top 100 at 285%. AI is coming for our budgets.

TIKTOK: Shop is now the sixth-largest health and beauty ecommerce platform in the US, growing 84% year over year. Clinique and Lancôme still have no presence there, while smaller brands build loyal audiences through creators and convert them daily. And you might want to be there, too.
