Three Claude Design conversations that replace a week of back-and-forth

You know the drill: The idea hits. You write a brief. You wait for the design. You send feedback. You wait some more…

A few days later, a first draft landed. And shockingly, it needs another round of tweaks.

But now that Claude released its Design feature, you might be able to skip this entire ordeal.

How it works: You drop a link, some assets, or a campaign description. And instead of debating how something might look, you’re staring at a first version before the meeting ends.

What caught our attention is how it turns design into a conversation. You describe, tweak, comment, and iterate, rather than manually shoving pixels around a canvas.

Speed changes the game. Three landing page variants, a video concept, and a sales deck all built in a single day. You stop guessing what “might” get clicks and start testing what does.

Here are three tactics to put Claude Design to work.

01

Redesign a site without starting from scratch

The most common problem with website redesigns? Everyone knows something needs fixing.

But nobody wants to stare at a blank screen.

Claude Design solves this practically. Feed it a link to an existing page, describe your business goal, and ask for a new version.

Don’t aim for pixel-perfect right away. Think of it as a rapid prototype with one goal: fix what’s broken.

You want a better hero section, a brutally effective CTA, and a layout that drives conversions rather than just looking pretty. You’re after a winning direction, and you want it fast.

Our example below tackles the actual website of a local Boston plumber.

Do it now:

  • Select your settings: Choose Prototype > High Fidelity in Claude Design.
  • Paste your URL: Ask it to completely overhaul the existing landing page.
  • Write a targeted prompt, or use ours as a baseline: “You are a senior UX/UI designer, conversion rate optimization expert, and web designer specializing in local service businesses…” [read more…]
  • Add specific requirements: A more premium look, less clutter, a stronger CTA, better social proof, and a shorter path to conversion.
  • Generate 2-3 variants: Minimalist, aggressive sales, and expert authority. Compare to see which best fits your ad traffic.
  • Iterate on the first draft: Ask Claude to “simplify the hero,” “add more trust signals,” “shorten the copy,” or “increase CTA contrast.”
  • Generate a final checklist: Give your developer a clear list of what to change, which sections to move, what to remove, and which CTAs to test.

Pro tip: Claude Design builds the structure, layout, and first draft but you can bring the project into Canva, where it becomes a fully editable design.

Canva allows Claude projects to be tweaked in their drag-and-drop editor, saving you from constantly regenerating code.

02

Turn your raw assets into a cohesive video concept

If you’re a marketer, you know that video is the go-to format. And you also know that it’s the most painful to produce.

Script, editing, graphics, animations, pacing, a killer hook…the list never shrinks.

But with tools like Claude Design, you can turn raw materials into a cohesive video concept that looks like a well-thought-out campaign.

This is especially useful when you already have a logo, product screenshots, customer reviews, or landing page snippets.

Instead of writing a brief from scratch, drop in your assets, define the goal, and let Claude build a scene-by-scene structure—complete with on-screen text, pacing, and animation ideas.

Step by step:

  • Upload your assets: Dump everything into the chat — logos, product screens, brand colors, mockups, or even past ads.
  • Use our prompt framework: “Create a premium, highly professional animated promo video for a weekly AI marketing newsletter called ‘Tactics’. Use the uploaded logo as the official brand logo. Keep the logo clearly visible in key moments…” [read more…]
  • Define your brand early: State what your product is, who it’s for, and why they should care — right at the top of the prompt.
  • Set the visual style: Premium SaaS, modern e-commerce, minimalist B2B, or a dynamic high-conversion social ad. Be specific.
  • Map out the scene structure: Problem → Solution → Main Promise → Use Cases → Final Result → CTA.
  • Demand specific animations: Smooth transitions, kinetic typography, animated UI cards, subtle glows, swipes, whooshes, and dynamic micro-interactions.

Pro tip: You can keep your Claude Design projects private, or share them via link within your organization, or make it fully editable for collaborators.

You can even run a shared team conversation with Claude directly inside the project workspace.

03

Build a slide deck that sells

A slide deck in Claude Design is still a presentation,

But you can build it infinitely faster than in Power Point: you don’t start with a blank slide, agonizing over fonts, and manually dragging text boxes around. You start with a conversation.

“Create a 10-slide sales pitch for my ‘Tactics’ newsletter” or “Build a go-to-market deck for our expansion into Germany.”

This tool will produce a visual draft, propose a narrative, and arrange the slides to guide your audience from their pain point straight to a buying decision.

After that, tweak via chat or drop comments directly on the project.

Playbook:

  • Define your endgame: Is this a go-to-market strategy, an investor pitch, a sales deck, or a board presentation? Set the goal upfront.
  • Lock in your core topic: Tell it exactly what the deck is about — your product, brand, service, or campaign. You can even ask it to mock up a fictional product if you’re testing the waters.
  • Grab our prompt and tweak it: “Create a highly professional, investor-grade slide deck presenting a complete go-to-market strategy for launching a fictional premium product on the German market…” [read more…]
  • Demand the right visuals: Positioning matrices, market maps, budget breakdowns, funnels, roadmaps, KPI dashboards… name them explicitly.
  • Keep the copy ruthless: Short headers, minimal text, one core message per slide. High readability and clear information hierarchy are non-negotiable.
  • Feed it your design guidelines: Color palette, typography, grid preferences, icon styles, chart aesthetics, and contrast levels.
  • Set the final deliverable: State clearly that you expect a complete, editable slide deck ready to present to clients, investors, or your board.

Pro tip: During onboarding, Claude Design can read your codebase and design files to generate a custom design system.

Every future project automatically pulls your exact brand colors, typography, and components without you having to ask twice.

The only brief you need? A good prompt.

Claude Design cuts the time from idea to first draft. The biggest payoff? You create variants, test them, and iterate. Faster than any traditional workflow allows.

  • Website redesign: Drop a link to an existing page and ask for a cleaner layout, stronger CTAs, and a structure built for conversions.
  • Video from raw assets: Toss in your logo, screenshots, photos, or offer description, and let Claude map out the script, scene structure, and CTAs.
  • Slide decks: Build a sales pitch, strategy deck, or investor presentation that guides your audience straight from their pain point to a decision.

You don’t need a pixel-perfect first draft. Claude helps you get a design that you can show to the market, your clients, or your team and get there faster than your competition expects.
