Three Opus 5 tactics that check their own work so you don’t have to
Learn to build browser-based 3D marketing games, redesign conversion-focused landing pages, and automate executive data analysis using Claude Opus 5.

Fable 5 hadn’t even finished its victory lap and Anthropic already shipped Claude Opus 5.
The new model costs 50% less through the API. And across a handful of coding, office work, and computer-use benchmarks, it matches Fable. Occasionally, it wins outright.
The benchmarks are the least interesting thing about it.
Here’s what caught our attention: Opus 5 checks its own work. It finds the weak points and fixes them, usually before you’ve noticed they were there.
This made us brew up three tactics that you might want to test this week.
Build 3D games that work as campaigns

Yes, we mean it. An actual, real, interactive, 3D shooter game.
This wasn’t possible before. Yes, AI could produce an impressive scene or one clean game mechanic. But if you tried to play it
…well, let’s say controls would fight back and physics would develop opinions on their own.
Opus 5 handles Three.js, controls, physics, interfaces, and gameplay logic markedly better than anything before it. More to the point, it can launch the build, see what’s broken, and take another pass. Sweet.
For marketers, that opens a campaign format that wasn’t practical before. Instead of shipping another landing page, you can build an experience people actually want to finish.
Do it now:
- Start with one sentence: A race, a mission, a boss fight, a collectible hunt. If you can’t explain the concept in a single line, it’s too big.
- Tie the mechanic to the business: Connect the core loop to your product, your offer, or the problem your brand exists to solve.
- Keep it in the browser: Design a short experience that runs on the spot, with no app install standing between you and the player.
- Fun first, polish second: Get the game enjoyable before you touch branding, visual effects, or refined 3D models.
- Make the ending part of the funnel: A reward, a final score, an unlocked offer, a sign-up, a product page. Something happens when they win.

Give it an average website and ask it to save it
A blank page? Opus 5 can handle that. Every model can handle that.
The interesting work starts when you hand it a website that already exists and already functions. The competent, forgettable kind. Upload the full-page screenshots and the code.
It will find the weak visual hierarchy, the offer nobody can parse, the mobile layout that quietly falls apart, and the exact moment a visitor stops believing you.
This isn’t a paint job. Within a few seconds of landing, a visitor needs three answers: Is this for me? Why should I trust you? Where do I click next?
Here’s how to run it on your clients’ sites.
Step by step:
- Upload everything: Full-page screenshots of both the desktop and mobile versions, plus the current website code.
- Name one goal: Book a consultation, submit a contact form, or make a phone call. One. Not three.
- Demand the audit first: Ask for a problem diagnosis before a single design decision gets made.
- Lock the facts: Fence off anything the model is not allowed to invent: testimonials, certifications, results, years of experience.
- Then build: Ask it to produce the new version and explain every major change in a line or two.
- Put it to the test: Run the variants head-to-head and measure conversion rate, CTA clicks, and form completion.

Build an analyst that doesn’t stop at the chart
Spotting an interesting pattern is the easy part. Anything can spot a pattern.
Try cleaning the data, pressure-test whether the numbers are even real, run a few scenarios, and finally tell a decision-maker what to do on Monday morning.
That’s where Opus 5 thrives.
It will carry the whole chain: messy exports in, spreadsheet with live formulas and validation checks in the middle, executive presentation out the other end.
For a first-pass analysis, it’s fast enough and accurate enough to make a few experienced analysts shift slightly in their seats.
Playbook:
- Feed it the raw material: Your sales, cost, campaign, CRM, and margin exports, plus a description of what each column actually contains.

- Break it before you build on it: Ask it to surface missing data, anomalies, and contradictions before any analysis begins.
- Insist on the workings: Require a spreadsheet with formulas, data sources, stated assumptions, and validation checks.
- Get three futures, not one: Ask for a base, conservative, and aggressive scenario, plus a sensitivity analysis.
- Land it in five beats: Close with a short presentation covering the situation, the key insight, the recommendation, the risk, and the next step.
Pro tip: Make it separate facts, calculations, conclusions, and recommendations into distinct sections.
It’s much harder for a model to pass off a persuasive narrative as hard evidence when the evidence has to sit in its own column.
Don’t grade the first answer
The half-price API bill isn’t the story. The story is that Opus 5 is far more likely to check its own work, find the weak spots, and take another pass without you standing over it.
Which is why it shines on anything you can open, test, and improve.
A 3D game, a landing page, an analytical model. Instead of handing you version one, it plays the game, breaks the mobile layout, catches the contradiction buried in row 4,000, and comes back with something better. Super sweet.
Start small. One clear goal, one measurable result. And judge what comes out at the end.
