Heads up: The number of broadcast messages you can send is getting capped

Please keep your announcements to a minimum.

For the sake of spam: WhatsApp is planning new limits on broadcast messages to reduce spam and improve user experience.

Over the next few weeks, you can expect:

  • A cap on the number of broadcast messages you can send each month.
  • Status updates or Channels for larger broadcasts.
  • Paying to send additional messages—at least for business accounts.

Why the limit? WhatsApp wants to cut down on message overload and encourage quality over quantity.

An unsubscribe option for users is also in the works.

So… time to make each of your broadcasts count.
