Today, it’s pretty common for business chats to happen over social media messages.
So Substack is taking things into the DMs.
Starting… right now, you can directly message fellow readers and writers on the platform.
That could open the door to a huge range of opportunities for businesses, deepening relationships with readers, and more.
According to early tests, this new feature has already helped build subscriber loyalty, connect fellow writers, and cultivate a reader community.
Lots of potential here: Opening up a dialogue with popular newsletters could also give you the chance to grow brand awareness through things like sponsorships, for example.
By default, you can only DM users you’re already connected with. Any other messages will go into your “Requests.”
So you better get to work on your openers.
Will you be reaching out to anyone?
