Is Google’s Search results count on its way out?

Google’s playing hide and seek, and SEOs don’t like it.

Marco, Polo: An important metric, the search results count, seems to have disappeared from Google Search.

You now have to click on the “Tools” button to find it.

Why? We’re not really sure. The theory is that the count number is just an estimate, and not a figure that should have too much influence.

But if you use this metric as part of your keyword research process, it might be worth trying alternatives or new research methods.

Because there’s a good chance it will disappear completely one day.

After all, Google has been testing its removal since 2016…
