LinkedIn rolls out new event ad features, and Google simplifies Video ad creative testing

The new gaming feature on LinkedIn might be kind of weird…

But this isn’t: According to LinkedIn, Live Events jumped 14.4% in the past year, and Thought Leader Ads are killing it with a 2.3x higher CTR than single image ads.

So, what’s LinkedIn doing? Adding more features to help you ride this wave:

  • Now, you can promote a member’s post about your Live Event with a Thought Leader Ad that links directly to the event, boosting those all-important registrations.
  • Show potential attendees a 30-second sneak peek during or after the event. It’s like a trailer, but for your webinar.
  • You can even target your invites regionally to make sure you’re reaching the right crowd.

Wait, LinkedIn isn’t done yet: Accelerate campaigns now include a video or document ad—think ebooks, whitepapers, or customer testimonials—alongside single images.

Nice.

And because we can’t leave Google out of the fun: Google made it easier to run video consideration and reach experiments with just a few clicks.
