A new Threads feed, Bing is getting generative search results, and a Reddit update

Looks that way: Threads now lets you create a “dedicated feed” alongside your For you and Following feeds in the latest version of the mobile app.

This new tab is based on your search results, which you can bookmark to create your feed.

If you’re doing content research, this could be pretty useful.

Over at Bing, a new generative search experience is slowly rolling out that will provide unique responses to user queries.

Yes, it’s basically Google AI Overviews for Bing. The new search results will come with links to sources, while traditional search results will remain prominent.

If you’ve been optimizing for Google’s generative search, you might want to do the same for Bing soon.

… Especially since the platform has stopped showing Reddit results.

Apparently Reddit updated its robots.txt file to prevent search engines and AI tools from crawling it. Of course, Google has been exempt due to its licensing deal.
