Alphabet and Microsoft beat estimations

And in today’s episode of earnings season…

Alphabet’s numbers don’t lie: Overall revenue was $80.54B, beating the estimations of $78.59B.

It also increased 15% compared to a year earlier—the fastest growth in two years.

But more importantly:

  • YouTube ad revenues hit $8.09B, also beating estimates.
  • Search Ads increased from $40.36B to $46.16B.
  • Overall ad revenues jumped up from $54.55B to $61.66B.

… So it seems advertisers are seeing results across the Google Network.

Now over to you, Microsoft: The company also reported higher-than-expected revenues, hitting $61.9B, a 17% increase.

Search and news ads jumped 12%—if you exclude traffic acquisition costs.

And finally, LinkedIn revenue climbed 10%. Could it mean that advertisers spend more on the platform?

That’s all promising, but…

Just keep in mind LinkedIn and Google Video partners are the worst offenders when it comes to invalid traffic, so… pay close attention to your analytics.
