Google is “unifying” booking in Business Profiles and Local Services Ads

If you’ve been getting bookings through Local Services Ads (LSA), you might want to sit straighter in your chair…

Because the process is about to change, kind of: Google is merging Business Profiles (GBP) with LSA for some local businesses to make booking calls easier.

Here’s what that would look like, depending on your situation…

  • Already using LSA booking: No changes.
  • GBP booking enabled: LSA ads will automatically be enabled in two weeks, but you can opt -out.
  • Different booking partners: You will migrate to GBP’s booking partner.

Combining both platforms should simplify booking management for your clients and make the call booking experience more consistent.

It also means if you’ve only been using GBP bookings until now, you can easily pick up LSA bookings and potentially reach more customers.

For now, only some businesses will see the change, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this is the beginning of a wider rollout…
