Sometimes ChatGPT is more wordy than an excitable auctioneer.
Get to the point: Premium ChatGPT users now have access to an updated version of GPT-4 Turbo that produces “more direct, less verbose” responses.
And because it comes with more up-to-date information, the new model is also better at writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding. Nice.
Plus, it’s more conversational, too, which could be handy when generating content.
Just remember to use its powers for good, because 10% of Google results are AI-generated spam. Yikes.
Jon Gillham, founder and CEO of an AI detection platform called Originality.ai, said Google can’t keep up with the amount of dodgy AI content being published, and its algorithm is being “overrun.”
If the abuse of AI-generated content continues at this rate, there’s also the risk of AI models training on their own content, leading to a total deterioration of quality and data.
It’s hard to say where we go from here, but in the meantime… keep it clean out there, OK?
