New creative AI tools, Studio updates, and an ad blocker update

If content creation is the kitchen, you just got a new sous chef.

First on the menu: New generative AI tools for Shorts are here.

A custom version of Google’s Veo model can quickly create clips, and a new remixing tool can even turn dialogue into a song.

There’s also an Edit with AI feature that can transform your raw footage into a polished first draft, complete with music and transitions. Aaaand scene.

Not creative updates only: YouTube Studio is also getting a major upgrade that should help you manage and grow your channel:

  • Likeness detection finds unauthorized uses of your face—or your affiliates’ faces.
  • An AI chatbot to answer questions about your analytics.
  • Expanded A/B testing for titles and thumbnails.

These tools should give you actionable insights and better control over your content and brand.

And about those rumors… If you’ve seen a dip in views, YouTube wants to assure you it’s not due to Restricted Mode.

The company clarified this optional setting accounts for a tiny fraction of daily views and is not the cause of fluctuations.

OK, we’ll take your word for it…
