New features come to Snap including improved lead gen, app install ads updates, and more

Snapchat wants you to know: It’s been cooking.

Hope you’re hungry, because there’s a full plate of updates:

  • Snap partnered with Zapier to improve its lead gen ads. According to Snapchat, these updates resulted in a 62% increase in form submissions and 69% drop in cost-per-lead (CPL).
  • Snap updated app install ads with new bidding capabilities and optimization for app installs, purchases, and re-engagement.
  • There are more augmented reality (AR) offerings, too, including new Lenses and AR Extensions. The first two AR tools seem to offer lots of potential for top-of-funnel, just FYI.

Also, Snap claims that combining AR ads with video ads can show 1.6x lift in ad awareness. Interesting.

And of course, AI’s involved: Snap is developing AI-powered Lenses and plans to bring AI generative support to your ad creative process, too.

If you’re advertising on Snap, you’ve got some promising features to play with, especially if you’re hoping to create awareness and action.
